Responsibilities: Prioritizes the order of filling (waiting, pickup, same-day shipment, next-day shipment) to meet patient needs and ensure patient satisfaction. Labels all prescription bottles accurately and with pharmaceutical elegance and applies all appropriate auxiliary labels. Ensures appropriate paperwork is included with each prescription fill. Accurately fills orders to meet and improve metrics surrounding errors while processing prescriptions. Documents appropriate information during the filling process to meet UAMS Policies and Procedures and URAC and ACHC Accreditation Standards. Understands and follows all UAMS Policies related to medication processing and filling, including adherence to HIPAA laws. Demonstrates understanding and proper handling of Hazardous Drugs. Communicates with Specialty Pharmacy staff to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care for Specialty patients. Maintains cleaning logs for supplies used in Specialty Pharmacy Operations. Displays courtesy and respect toward all patients and employees. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity. Strives to provide excellent pharmacy services. Values patient safety as a priority. Promotes health equity. Displays teamwork ability. Works creatively to solve problems and improve services. Participates in the training of staff. Assures medication supply is sufficient for needs and alerts the buyer to any deficiencies. Proactively addresses supply to ensure availability for next-day shipping. Completes regularly scheduled inventory counts and reviews (including but not limited to: cycle counts, annual inventory, out-of-date stock review).
