The role involves managing individualized, goal-directed nursing care for geriatric psychiatric patients using the nursing process. Responsibilities include ongoing physical and psychological assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Rhode Island. Previous experience in geriatric psychiatry or a hospital setting is preferred, and CPI training is required within one year of employment.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Must have and maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island. EXPERIENCE Previous Geriatric Psych exp pref; Previous hospital exp pref LICENSURE CPI training within 1 yr of employment. Must have an maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island.
