The primary duties involve performing high-quality and accurate diagnostic CT exams according to established procedures, ensuring proper scheduling and documentation, and maintaining equipment quality control. The role also requires starting and monitoring IVs as needed and consulting with physicians to ensure correct testing.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold ARRT certification, with CT certification being preferred. Preferred experience is 3-5 years in CT, and candidates should ideally be IV and CPR certified.

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a PRN CT Tech at our Layton Parkway location.
Perform high quality and accurate diagnostic Computerized Tomography (CT) exams in accordance with established procedures Follow departmental guidelines and protocols in scheduling and documentation of exams and maintaining accurate and complete records relative to the examinations performed Perform quality control on all equipment according to standard procedures. Start and monitor IVs as needed Consult with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure proper tests are being performed Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and scanner room Other duties as assigned
Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent
ARRT certification required CT certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) preferred 3-5 years of experience in CT preferred
Other Requirements: IV certified preferred CPR certified preferred
Knowledge: Knowledge of CT procedures and protocols. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary. Knowledge of CT equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
Skill in positioning patients properly. Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor. Skill in following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
Ability to lift and position patients for the type of CT procedure required. Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices. Ability to work independently Ability to lift 50 lbs
CT equipment used for medical diagnosis and treatment.
Work Environment: Medical offices and imaging rooms
Standing six to eight hours per day, walking, stooping, and bending. Requires ability to move equipment and transfer patients. Occasional stress when working with anxious patients.
