The counselor will maintain and manage a caseload, conduct individual and group counseling sessions, and complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities also include coordinating care with other providers, engaging in case management, and including family supports in treatment as preferred by the client.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher and hold an active Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) license or above, though an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license may be considered if the candidate completes the LAC within a specified timeframe. Behavioral health experience is preferred.
Description Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor to assist patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances.
