Licensed Nursing Assistants/Mental Health Technicians function as floating team members within the Nurse Resources Team, providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. They are responsible for the care provided and must promote communication regarding the patient's status and condition changes to the licensed nurse.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed a 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program, registering as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in Vermont. A minimum of one year of LNA experience is required, along with obtaining MOAB and Pro-Act certifications and Basic Life Safety certification within six months of hire.

Current Shifts Available are Part-Time Day and Per-diem POSITION SUMMARY Our Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) / Mental Health Technicians in the Nurse Resources Team act as floating team members - going to the various departments at the hospital as needed. Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients. Is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for such care. Provides care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders and an approved plan of care. Promotes communication of patients’ status, change in condition and patients’ need with the licensed nurse. Functions within Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR policies and procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the nursing department and CVMC/Woodridge. BASIC KNOWLEDGE High School graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program. Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant. EXPERIENCE Minimum one year of Licensed Nursing Assistant experience, required for the Resource Pool. Minimum of one year experience in acute care facility preferred. Must demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills. Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) and Pro-Act certifications are required within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Safety (BLS) is required.
