The Recovery Support Specialist provides peer mentoring and recovery coaching to help individuals in residential settings achieve personal goals and build resilience. They also collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care and assist clients in accessing essential community resources.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license with reliable transportation is required, and the ability to obtain a Recovery Support Specialist certification within 12 months is mandatory.

Your Role: Recovery Support Specialist, Recovery Residential Programs (Crisis Unit and Residential Rehabilitation)
As a Recovery Support Specialist at Heritage Behavioral Health Center, you will use your lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery to provide hope, guidance, and practical support to adults on their recovery journey as they transition from residential settings to their natural support systems. We are looking for two Recovery Support Specialist whose role focuses on empowering individuals to define and achieve their personal goals, build resilience, and strengthen connections to natural supports. You will work with individuals on the crisis residential and residential rehabilitation units modeling recovery and promoting SAMHSA’s principles of hope, person-driven care, holistic support, peer relationships, and respect.
