The trainee initiates, monitors, and discontinues outpatient hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of an RN and preceptor. They are responsible for learning the role of a Hemodialysis Technician during their orientation period.
Candidates must be high school graduates and are expected to pass the National Hemodialysis Technician Certification Exam within 18 months of hire. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

The Hemodialysis Trainee initiates, monitors and discontinues outpatient hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of an RN and a preceptor (during the orientation period). The technician trainee has 18 months from hire date to pass the National Hemodialysis Technician Certification Exam. The scheduling and payment of the exam is solely the employee’s responsibility.
