The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for conducting clinical assessments, developing or overseeing service plans, and implementing these plans through various therapeutic interventions to help clients achieve maximum functional levels. This role involves providing direct support, participating in utilization reviews, and ensuring accurate documentation to meet billing standards.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, or social work and must meet the qualifications of a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA), actively pursuing licensure (AMFT, ASW, APCC, or licensed equivalents). Desirable qualifications include two years of direct service experience in a mental health setting, knowledge of Medi-Cal requirements, and experience with substance abuse issues.

Mental Health Clinician Program(s) and Location: New Direction (Sacramento) Schedule: Full-time non-exempt, 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and may require working some evenings and weekend schedules Pay rate: $38.38/hour with associate licensure (AMFT, ACSW, etc.); $40.30/hour with full licensure (LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for clinical assessment, creation and or oversight of a service plan, and implementation of that plan through therapeutic interventions. This position provides the support necessary to assist the client in attaining a maximum functional level. The Mental Health Clinician may participate in the internal and county utilization review process.
