The Occupational Therapist performs a full range of occupational therapy services, including screening, functional assessments, developing treatment plans with goals, and providing direct services to individuals and groups. This role also involves documenting progress and assisting in the training and evaluation of interns and volunteers.
Candidates must possess current knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice, particularly in psychosocial dysfunction, obtained through an accredited degree, and must hold a current Maryland state license to practice. Required experience includes three to six months of clinical experience supplemented by on-the-job orientation to learn specific policies and procedures.
