The Clinical Assistant supports patient care delivery by preparing patients for examinations, collecting and documenting medical history and vital signs, and performing clinical tasks like phlebotomy and EKGs. They also assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies.
A minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent, with no prior experience strictly necessary, although one or more years of Medical Office or patient care experience is preferred. Candidates must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
The Clinical Assistant supports the delivery of patient care in the physician practice setting. The Clinical Assistant rooms patients and provides clinical services within the scope of a non-licensed position. This includes collecting and documenting patient information, performing phlebotomy and patient education, assisting in office-based testing and procedures, and supporting the administrative operations of the office.
