The registered nurse is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care, following established policies and standards of practice. Accountability extends to clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the nursing department's model of care.
Candidates must have 1+ years of acute care RN experience and possess or be able to obtain a Massachusetts RN License prior to the start date, with BLS required. Telemetry or Critical Care RN experience is preferred, and selected candidates must commit to the unit for two years.
12 weeks competency based orientation, including ENA modeled Emergency Nursing specific classes and precepted shifts 1+ years of acute care RN experience required. Telemetry or Critical Care RN experience preferred. BLS required ACLS/TNCC certifications included during orientation MA RN License required or ability to obtain a MA RN License prior to start date. REQUIRED EDUCATION BSN preferred Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Basic computer proficiency is inclusive of the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information. Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families. Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work. Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification is preferred for certain practice areas. Acute Care, Trauma Nursing, ACLS, TNCC, Triage, CEN, EMS Compensation Range: $38.05- $75.33 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
