The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for assessing clients in an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program and administering medication according to established policies and procedures. This role involves direct work with clinical and medical staff to coordinate nursing components and perform necessary patient care and clerical functions.
Minimum requirements include a current and unrestricted LVN license from the Texas Board of Nursing, at least one year of staff nurse experience (preferably in chemical dependency or behavioral health), and current Basic Life Support and Handle with Care Physical Holding Certifications. Candidates must possess knowledge of industry standards, addiction treatment models, medication management, and demonstrate strong communication and independent work skills.
