Provide addiction and mental health treatment to adolescent and young adult patients through individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to perform assessments, crisis interventions, and maintain clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal standards.
Requires a Master's level clinician license in Texas (LCSW, LPC, LPC-A, or LMFT) and current CPR/FA and Handle with Care certifications. Preferred candidates possess dual licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).

SUMMARY The Program Therapist at CLEARFORK ACADEMY is responsible for providing addiction and mental health treatment to patients in the Resident Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospital Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient program (IOP) and outpatient program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Program Therapist will perform direct services, including individual, family and group psychotherapy, assessments, consultations and crisis interventions within the scope of the respective individual’s license.
AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG ADULT MALES/FEMALES) Demonstrates ability to systemically collect, record and analyze data and other relevant interactive social systems, including mental status, special precautions (suicidality, homicidality, elopement); physical problems/medical acuity (withdrawal and nutritional needs); and ethnic concerns (social, religious, or cultural needs). Interprets and utilizes assessment data to guide, shape and update treatment plans. Initiates/develops a treatment plan with specific goals and interventions unique to the needs of the patient. Intervenes as guided by the treatment plan to implement appropriate interventions that promote, maintain, or restore physical and mental health, prevent illness effect rehabilitation, and restore developmental progression in adulthood. Provides health teaching for adult/family through individual and group interactions. Recommends special precautions for clients, as needed. Evaluates the response of the client/family to interventions in order to revise the plan, including discharge criteria. Demonstrates an understanding of developmental milestones of adolescents and young adults. Identifies trauma, abuse/neglect or exploitation a client may have experienced. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education, Training, and Experience Required: Master’s Level Clinician Intern or Qualified Credentialed Counselor Unrestricted independent practice recognized licensure in Texas, to include Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) (required) Dual licensure as one of above and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) (preferred) Current CPR/FA certification Current Handle with Care Physical Holding certification
