Physical therapist assistants provide direct patient care and selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist. They also assist in the clinical education of students and provide guidance to support personnel.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program and require certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana, along with Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Three months of acute care experience is preferred, but new graduates with acute care fieldwork experience will be considered.
