A registered professional coordinates care for patients across all age groups by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to maintain well-being. This role involves planning, organizing, and conducting physical therapy treatment programs based on medical referrals and evaluations, while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team.
Candidates must be graduates of a CAPTE-approved Physical Therapist Education Program and hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, with exceptions noted for pre-2009 education or international degrees. A current state license or multi-state license via PTLC is required, and two years of experience in acute care or rehabilitation is recommended.

Plans, organizes, and conducts physical therapy treatment program based on the medical referral and their evaluation. Collaborates with Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT)
Education: Graduate of a Physical Therapist Education Program that is approved by the Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or a successor organization of CAPTE. Doctor of Physical Therapy required. *Note: Exceptions may exist for education and licensure prior to 2009 and if educated outside of the United States. (42CFR 418.114(b)(7)(ii-vii).
Current state license as a physical therapist, or a multi-state license issued by a state member of the Physical Therapist Licensure Compact (PTLC) if practicing in a state member of the PTLC to practice physical Therapy.
Two years’ experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting recommended.
Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
