The Medical Assistant supports patients and their families before, during, and after visits by working alongside clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Key duties include rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing rooms, performing office-based testing, and managing patient care coordination like referrals and authorizations.
Candidates should ideally possess 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with bilingual skills being strongly preferred. Essential requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or passing the examination, excellent communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.

IMS Care Center is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Medical Assistant for our Cardiology clinic in Avondale. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support by assisting patients and their family members before, during and after their visit. Medical Assistants work alongside doctors, nurses and other clinical personnel, performing functions that help the clinic run smoothly.
This position requires Travel to all other IMS locations to cover for the time being as Needed. The daily schedule will reflect the regular working hours from 8-5pm. Quartzsite is also a location that is included in this position.
