Physical therapists are responsible for providing services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent physical disabilities for patients suffering from injuries or disease. This involves examining medical histories and testing patients' physical capabilities to develop appropriate treatment plans to meet their goals.
A Bachelor's degree is required, though one year of experience may be waived with a strong clinical affiliation recommendation; a Master's or PhD is preferred along with two years of experience. Candidates must possess a current valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy license and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
