Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible for managing the overall medical care of individuals in a crisis stabilization setting. They provide nursing care, administer medications, and consult with physicians under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must have completed a course of study for LPN licensure in Virginia and have at least one year of nursing experience. Preference is given to those with experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.

$5000 Hiring Bonus for NEW Crisis Receiving Center Night Shift LPN's, active as of 04/21/2026, $5000 Total, paid in three (3) installments; $2000 upon receipt of the following: Background clearances, including fingerprint background check, Acceptable drug screen results, Satisfactory references; $1500 upon satisfactory completion of the six (6) month probationary period; $1500 upon completion of twelve (12) months of continuous employment, with a satisfactory performance evaluation. This hiring bonus is applicable to new hires only, or otherwise, individuals not having been employed for a minimum of 1 year from the date application is received
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) working in the Horizon Behavioral Health Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center are responsible for management of the overall medical care of assigned individuals at the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. LPNs are responsible for providing nursing care to crisis stabilization, detox, and clients in need of medical clearance. This includes the service delivery of medication administration and diagnostic procedures along with delivery of client/family education, consultation with physicians, and carrying out of provider's orders.
