Nurses will complete comprehensive nursing assessments upon client admission, administer medications following physician orders, and safely monitor detoxification protocols using tools like COWS and CIWA evaluations. They are also responsible for providing medication education, coordinating with medical providers, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Pennsylvania, along with required CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certifications. A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred, especially in behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use disorder settings.
Tapestry, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our residential treatment team in Lake Ariel, PA. Our nurses play a critical role in supporting adult clients receiving treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Key Responsibilities Complete comprehensive nursing assessments upon client admission Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Safely implement and monitor detoxification protocols Conduct COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) and CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) evaluations per clinical guidelines Provide medication education and ongoing support to clients Coordinate with medical providers during assessments and medication management visits Maintain medical equipment and ensure proper functioning Uphold confidentiality, therapeutic boundaries, and professional nursing ethics Complete all documentation accurately and within required timeframes Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
Licensure Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania Certifications CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid (required) Experience Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred Behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use disorder experience strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills Sound clinical judgment and nursing assessment skills Ability to respond effectively to client needs, including crisis situations Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and accrediting regulations (e.g., DHS, CARF, The Joint Commission) Professional, dependable, and able to work with diverse populations Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily indoor, moderately quiet clinical setting Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Requires standing, walking, stair climbing, and sitting for extended periods Potential exposure to infectious diseases or psychiatric crisis situations Reliable transportation to and from the facility required About Tapestry & Pyramid Healthcare Tapestry is proud to be part of Pyramid Healthcare, a national network of treatment programs dedicated to providing evidence-based, person-centered care.
