The Advanced Practice Provider will function as an integral part of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division in the outpatient setting, working closely with three plastic surgeons across various patient types including breast reconstruction and gender-affirming surgery. Essential duties involve comprehensive patient management including health status assessment, diagnosis formulation, development and evaluation of treatment plans, and maintaining appropriate documentation.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing and have successfully completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, holding current NP credentialing from AANP or ANCC. A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, including previous experience caring for surgical patients, is required, along with current RN and advanced practice licensure in the District of Columbia.

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in a full-time role. In this role, you will become an integral part of the division in the outpatient setting, working closely with three plastic surgeons. You will have exposure to a wide breadth of aesthetic and reconstructive patients, including breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast and facial surgery, transgender/ggender-affirmingsurgery, body contouring, general reconstructive surgery, wound care, and skin pathologies. Opportunities to develop a practice in minor office procedures and injectables are available.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the pre and post-operative management of surgical patients, and will be able to function autonomously.
