The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) is responsible for conducting testing processes from specimen handling to result reporting. They ensure precision and adherence to laboratory protocols to support the diagnosis and monitoring of patient health.
Candidates must have an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, or equivalent training. Certification from ASCP or AMT is required or must be obtained within one year of employment.
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) occupies a critical role in clinical diagnostics, ensuring that testing processes from specimen handling to result reporting are conducted with precision and adherence to laboratory protocols.
