The Mammography Tech is responsible for delivering personalized and quality patient care, performing diagnostic x-ray examinations, and managing departmental paperwork. Additional duties include patient transportation, scheduling, and maintaining a clean work area.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with at least 1 year of experience in Mammography. They must also be registered by ARRT, certified in Mammography, and licensed by the State of New Jersey.
The Mammography Tech is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all diagnostic x-ray examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS), and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. 1+ years of experience performing Mammograms. Registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and certified in Mammography. Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
