The Peer Recovery Coach engages and facilitates conversations with members to help them meet their recovery goals. They also provide consultation to the team and respond to critical situations using de-escalation skills to support members in crisis.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and one year of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges. Additionally, applicants must hold or obtain specific Peer Support Specialist certifications.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.
Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $23.24. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

The Telecare Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) brings crisis services to people in the community delivered by a dedicated team of mental health professionals with law enforcement involvement only where necessary. It’s an exciting opportunity to expand much-needed crisis care in Stanislaus County — in a way that is safe, accessible, and compassionate. Our goals are to help people to get the support they need and reduce unnecessary law enforcement involvement, ER visits, and hospitalizations.
