The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient support services and performs office clerical duties under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of a Medical Assistant program. Required certifications include AAMA certification or equivalent and current American Heart Association BLS completion.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), under the direction and supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, provides patient support services, as well as office clerical duties. Medical Assistants coordinate patient care under the tenets of Centra’s Professional Practice model and collaborate with providers and members of the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, focused on achieving desired outcomes.
