As a Special Procedures Unit Registered Nurse, you play a vital role in providing safe, compassionate care before, during, and after a variety of procedures. You’ll serve as the primary or circulating nurse for gastrointestinal (GI), cardiology, and other minor procedures, partnering closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll assess and prepare patients, provide education and emotional support, monitor patient safety throughout procedures, and coordinate care through recovery and discharge. Your specialized knowledge and critical thinking skills help ensure each patient receives high-quality, individualized care. Our Special Procedures Unit offers a Monday through Friday schedule, with participation in an on-call rotation. Whether assisting with endoscopic procedures, cardiac procedures, or other minimally invasive interventions, you’ll manage multiple priorities while responding confidently and compassionately to the unexpected.
