The Perioperative Assistant supports surgical staff by maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and preparing surgical cases. They also assist in the physical preparation and care of patients across various age groups in the OR and PACU.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and previous hospital experience. The role requires the physical ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment, along with mandatory BLS or CPR/AED certification.

The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for assisting the nurse in providing care to the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients during the perioperative phase of their hospitalization.
Assist the professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment including carts, scopes and video monitors used by Nurses and Anesthesiologists Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC Assists the nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments Performs surgical case picks for same day and following day cases; assists in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and care of the post-operative patient in the PACU.
