The Surgical Technologist II is responsible for setting up sterile fields, gathering surgical supplies, and passing instruments to surgeons during procedures. They also perform surgical count procedures and serve as a preceptor to less experienced staff.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a surgical technology, military, or LPN program. Certification as a CST, TS-C, or CORST is required along with registration with the Virginia State Board of Medicine.
