The Nurse Practitioner examines and treats patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. They ensure proper illness and injury care, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery while maintaining established standards.
Candidates must hold an Advanced Practice License from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner. A current Louisiana RN license and BLS certification are also required.
