The Medication Administration Technician is responsible for supporting safe medication administration and maintaining accurate documentation for clients in a behavioral health setting. They also provide support to clients, assist with crisis intervention, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure a therapeutic environment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and are preferred to have 2–5 years of healthcare or medical experience. Proficiency with electronic medical records and knowledge of medication administration procedures are strongly preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required. 2–5 years of related healthcare or medical experience preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) strongly preferred. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health settings is a plus. Desired Skills & Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to problem-solve and make sound, ethical decisions. Professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
