The Registered Nurse administers IV medications and therapies while monitoring patients for adverse reactions in home or clinic settings. They are responsible for patient education, clinical documentation in EHR systems, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Candidates must hold an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and a current BLS certification. Experience in infusion therapy, home health, or emergency medicine is preferred along with the ability to work flexible PRN hours.

The PRN Registered Nurse at Vital Care serves as a clinical resource for referral sources and community home health agencies regarding infusion therapies provided by our pharmacy. In accordance with state licensure regulations, the nurse may also deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of infusion therapy in collaboration with the registered pharmacist.
This role includes patient education, physician follow up, coordination with pharmacy staff for scheduling and delivery, and may involve advanced clinical procedures such as PICC line insertion (with appropriate qualifications). The position reports to the Nurse Manager.
