Performs routine and special chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic laboratory tests. Responsibilities may be specialized in areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, or the blood bank.
Requires a Bachelor's degree, one year of NAACLS approved training, and a Louisiana license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Experience is preferred but not required.
Performs various routine or special chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic laboratory tests. The duties of a Medical Technologist may be specific to a particular area of the laboratory, such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, or the blood bank.
