Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography (2D, Doppler) with attention to image quality and measurement accuracy according to physician orders.
• Prepare patients, explain the procedure, position the patient, monitor comfort, and ensure safety during imaging.
• Acquire, optimize, and document images; correlate findings with clinical information; communicate preliminary results to supervising physicians as required.
• Operate and maintain echo equipment, perform routine quality control, and troubleshoot basic technologist equipment issues.
• Collaborate with cardiology and radiology teammates to coordinate studies, manage patient flow, and ensure timely reporting.
• Adhere to infection control, privacy regulations, and agency education requirements; participate in department quarterly education sessions as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to perform echocardiography studies in a hospital setting with standard imaging protocols.
• Day shift availability; Monday through Friday, 5 days per week.
• Eligible to participate in a travel assignment with the ability to adapt to a new team and environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate imaging findings effectively to the clinical team.
• Willingness to attend department education sessions and comply with ongoing training requirements.
