Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care for ED patients across the lifespan, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and rapid treatment prioritization; support resuscitation and code events as needed
Administer medications and therapies, assist with procedures, and coordinate patient care with physicians, trauma teams, and interdisciplinary staff
Document accurately in the EMR (EPIC), maintain patient and family communication, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the ED stay
Collaborate with care teams to manage patient flow, discharge planning, and referrals while floating to unit needs as required
Requirements
Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification; all RN licenses current - 2+ years of ED experience with some pediatric exposure
Travel experience required; documentation of prior travel assignments
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand
EPIC EMR experience; ability to adapt to fast-paced ED workflows
