Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy assistant interventions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, including therapeutic exercises, balance and gait training, and range-of-motion activities.
• Assist with data collection, charting, and progress documentation; contribute to forming and updating treatment plans under PT direction.
• Support functional activities of daily living and mobility goals (transfers, ambulation, balance training) tailored to residents’ needs.
• Promote patient safety during all procedures, including proper body mechanics, positioning, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Educate residents and families on prescribed exercises, activity modification, and safety strategies to support independence and quality of life.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to practice in North Dakota.
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting and participate in a day shift during a travel assignment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with the rehabilitation team and care staff.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or similar setting is preferred.
