Overview Physical Therapy Assistant - LTAC, Belle Fourche, South Dakota. This travel assignment starts 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks in a long-term care / skilled nursing setting. Weekly pay range is $1,342-$1,427, with 36 hours guaranteed per week.

Responsibilities
Provide PTA support under supervision to assist the physical therapist with planned patient care for LTAC residents
Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM activities, and functional mobility techniques
Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate changes to the PT and care team
Assist with transfers, activities of daily living, and other tasks within the PTA scope of practice
Prepare treatment spaces, ensure equipment is ready, and uphold infection control and safety standards
Document care and progress in the patient record according to facility policy and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in South Dakota or eligible for SD licensure
Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
Prior LTAC or skilled nursing experience preferred
Ability to work in a long-term care environment and meet 36-hour weekly minimum
Strong communication and documentation skills
