Perform and report qualitative and quantitative chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests while ensuring specimen integrity. Maintain laboratory analyzers, execute quality control protocols, and support the training of new staff and students.
Requires a degree or certification as an MT, CLS, CLT, or MLT, with an associate degree in CLT/MLT specifically trained in microbiology. Experience in microbiology, including cultures, stains, and susceptibility testing, is preferred.
Medical laboratory technician (Mlt/Mls)
Performs chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing within QC guidelines; ensures specimen integrity; executes QC and proficiency testing; maintains inventory and safety compliance; supports training and collaboration.
• Graduate MT/CLS/CLT/MLT and/or certified OR Associate degree in CLT/MLT (trained in Microbiology).
• Microbiology experience including cultures, stains, ID, susceptibility.
