The specialist facilitates daily community outings for adults with developmental disabilities to promote integration and cultural identity. Responsibilities include supervising small groups, implementing support plans, and managing outing budgets and documentation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

The Community Inclusion Specialist (CIS) provides assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. The CIS creates and facilitates daily outings designed to promote community integration, build cultural identity, and connect participants with relevant opportunities to help meet their larger goals within the community. Participants may spend time in the community engaging in anything from cultural activities, museum visits, life skills-based excursions, volunteer opportunities, parks and more. The CIS may accompany up to three people at a time in the community.
