The Registered Nurse Newborn ICU leads the healthcare team by collaborating with physicians to implement individualized care plans for neonatal patients. Responsibilities include performing routine nursing care, documenting patient progress, and advocating for patients within an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license in the applicable state. A Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience are preferred.
Consistently utilizes appropriate communication tools when communicating within the interdisciplinary team and when handing off patient care. Communicates individualized plan of care to the patient and his/her chosen support system. Uses communication tools such as Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, and Question (SBARQ) to communicate more effectively. Documents appropriate information in a timely manner.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1 year of relevant experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
