The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients in an acute inpatient rehab setting to improve functional independence in activities of daily living and cognitive skills. Responsibilities include administering GG scoring, implementing evidence-based interventions, and coordinating discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program and possess a current state license and NBCOT certification. Preference is given to those with experience in inpatient rehab or neuro rehab, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations are considered.

The Occupational Therapist (OT) in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting evaluates and treats patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery to improve functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and cognitive/perceptual skills. The OT utilizes GG (Functional Independence Measure – FIM/GG) scoring to assess patient progress and document functional outcomes in compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and other regulatory requirements.
