Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Assume circulating and/or scrub roles to maintain a sterile field and support the surgical team
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers with instrumentation, counts, and specimen handling
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; communicate changes to the team
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery planning in the OR and immediate post-anesthesia care areas as appropriate
• Document intraoperative events accurately and participate in turnover and post-operative readiness

Requirements

• Previous travel nursing experience in the operating room
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Strong OR skills with the ability to manage high-acuity cases
• Burn experience preferred
• Availability for day shift with call on weekends and holidays
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes surgical environment
