Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using complex imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with radiologists to produce quality images for interpretation.
Requires enrollment in an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and an Associate degree. Must obtain ARRT certification and a Connecticut State Radiographer License within 120 days of hire.

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality radiographic images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location.
Enrolled in an A.M.A.approved Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registry eligible. AS degree required.
Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine radiography. RT(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Connecticut State Radiographer License is required within 120 days of hire date. CPR Certification within six (6) months.
Licensure: ARRT and CT License after 120 days after hire date
Demonstrates a basic understanding and technical skill with routine radiography, CR / Digital imaging techniques, knowledge of computer / Pacs applications, and good organizational and communication /customer service skills.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
