The role involves providing basic medical and nursing care, ensuring patient comfort, discussing healthcare, and reporting patient status to registered nurses and providers. Essential functions include preparing patients, applying principles of fetal development, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and performing telephone triage.
Candidates must be an LPN with a Florida license and one year of OB/GYN experience, or a Medical Assistant Specialist with a high school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited program or relevant experience. Both roles require CPR/BLS certification, with Medical Assistants needing to obtain certification within 90 days.
LPN Specialist requirements are: Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Gyn-Oncology experience preferred.
