The Medical Assistant provides safe, therapeutic, and efficient care, assisting with direct patient care, performing treatments, and administering medications under supervision. They also instruct patients and families on appropriate care and actively participate in developing patient-centered office workflows.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate's Degree or Medical Assistant Diploma Program preferred, and at least one year of Medical Assistant experience or completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required. Required qualifications include Basic Life Support upon hire, medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to complete required competency testing.
Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in direct patient care, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider. Is an active team participant in the patient-centered practice, by aiding in the development of office workflows that support patient centered care.
