The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collaborating as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities. The LPN contributes to the implementation of patient care and is accountable for compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
The minimum education required is a Diploma Program in practical nursing, and the candidate must possess a valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license along with current AHA BLS certification. IV Certification is preferred.
