This role involves providing professional nursing care at a beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit, adhering to established procedures and regulations. The nurse will also be responsible for coordinating care planning activities with other disciplines.
Candidates must possess at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing being preferred, and have less than one year of registered nursing experience. Required licenses include a Graduate Registered Nurse Permit or a Registered Nurse License, along with Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
5 South is a 22‑bed medical telemetry unit that cares for young adults through geriatric patients with a wide range of medical needs. Our team supports patients who may require telemetry monitoring for conditions such as metabolic disorders, stable cardiovascular issues, renal concerns, GI bleeds, substance‑withdrawal management, diabetes, and various respiratory conditions.
In addition, 5 South is the dedicated unit for all peritoneal dialysis patients in the hospital and also provides care for patients receiving plasmapheresis.
Patients are placed on the unit based on their admitting diagnosis to ensure they receive the most appropriate level of care from the start.
Full-Time - 0.9 FTE/72 Hours Biweekly
Day Night Rotation; 6 night minimum in a 6 week schedule Day Shift - 7am-7pm Night Shift - 7pm-7am
Every 3rd Weekend; 1 Major, 1 Minor and 1 Split Holiday
