The Intake LPN will manage patient records, prepare examination rooms, and assist physicians with clinical procedures and lab tests. They are also responsible for patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical history, while maintaining medical inventory.
Candidates must hold a current NYS LPN license and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Excellent communication skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are required for this role.

In This Role, You Will: Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMR Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments Escort patients to exam rooms Record patient interview, history, and chief complaint Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests Assist physician with exams Prepare and administer Injections Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens Perform basic lab tests Perform EKGs Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error We Require: Current NYS LPN license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
