The CT Technologist performs computerized axial tomography and other radiographic procedures while coordinating patient flow and scanner activities. They are also responsible for daily operations, quality assurance of the scanner, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Candidates must have completed an accredited program of Radiologic Technology and hold current ARRT registration and Louisiana state licensure. Advanced certification in Computerized Axial Tomography is preferred, and the role requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
Performs computerized axial tomography and other radiographic procedures as ordered by the physician, using professional judgment to recognize conditions requiring technical intervention. Coordinates patient flow and activities of CT scanner for maximum efficiency.
Required to participate in a rotational (on-call status) covering the CT department after hours, weekends and holidays. Flexibility and independent working skills needed. Performs various duties assigned according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
