The role involves evaluating children and families in crisis to help them adjust to medical and psychiatric stressors. Responsibilities include providing diagnostic evaluations, individual and family therapy, and contributing to program development and trainee education.
Requires a Master's level license in Texas (LPC, LMFT, LPT, or equivalent) and BLS certification. A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required, with a preference for 3 years and pediatric outpatient psychiatry experience.
Provide evaluation and treatment services to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs; provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Case management and disposition arrangements. Contribute to program development Maintain fiscal accountability and apply problem solving skills that demonstrate responsibility for generating allocated billable and/or patient contact hours. Contribute to the teaching mission of the hospital by working with trainees as co-therapists, and participating in didactics on topics of own expertise. How You’ll Be Successful: WORK EXPERIENCE At least 1 year job related experience required At least 3 years job related experience preferred Pediatric outpatient psychiatry experience preferred EDUCATION Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS State of Texas License at a Master's level (LPC, LMFT, LPT, or equivalent) required Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association required LCSW or LPC license preferred A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
