Travel Registered Nurse CVICU Job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric CVICU patients, including postoperative care after open heart surgery
• Monitor hemodynamics, interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and manage vasoactive infusions
• Respond to clinical emergencies and adjust care plans based on patient status and orders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, plan and document treatment, and support discharge planning
• Manage device therapies as applicable, including Impella and balloon pumps (preferred)
• Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and educate patients and families about conditions and care plans

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS required) - 1+ year of CVICU/critical care experience
• Experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation proficiency
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric populations
