Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department for diverse patient populations (adult, pediatric, and geriatric) in accordance with RN scope of practice.
Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, documentation, and care planning; respond to emergent conditions and support resuscitation efforts as needed.
Administer medications, interventions, and therapies per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with emergency medicine teams, ancillary staff, and families; participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and education.
Utilize the EPIC EMR system for timely and accurate documentation; maintain clinical standards and infection control practices.
Float to related ED areas as required; adapt to unit needs and patient flow while maintaining quality of care.
Requirements
Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; all RN licenses current as applicable - 2+ years of ED nursing experience; some pediatric exposure preferred
Travel experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in-hand
